The "Stimulus Couple," the first couple of Season 25 of "Divorce Cooling-Off Camp," reveals extreme conflict by disclosing everything from verbal abuse and physical fights to their complex romantic history.
In an episode airing on JTBC's "Divorce Cooling-Off Camp" on the afternoon of the 1st, the scene of the "Stimulus Couple's" home investigation is revealed.
First, footage from the wife's side, continuing from last week, captures a fierce argument between the couple. As voices rose over differences in opinion, the husband overturned the dinner table, and the wife knocked over the computer her husband cherished. The conflict between the two escalated into a physical fight.
Watching this, Seo Jang-hoon expressed his frustration by asking, "Why are you still living together?"
According to the production team, the husband did not deny but admitted to the circumstances of his violent behavior shown in the footage. Footage was also released showing him going to find his wife, who was crying alone in a room, and continuing to provoke her. Other couples watching the two reacted by saying, "This is unprecedented."
Subsequently, the husband's side footage addressed the wife's issues with the opposite sex that had continued since their dating days. In particular, it was revealed that when the couple first started dating, the wife was cohabiting with another man. The husband confessed that he had dated his wife without knowing this and had unknowingly become the "other man" from the perspective of the other male.
Upon learning about the wife's complex romantic history, Seo Jang-hoon said, "If it were me, I think I would have already run away."
Afterward, as the couple's claims diverged regarding their past relationship, the conflict grew even larger. The emotionally agitated husband eventually expressed his intention to withdraw from the program during filming for the first time in the show's history.
