Actress Oh Yoon-ah shares an update on her son Min, who has a developmental disability.
The KBS 2TV variety show 'New Product Launch Bunsiktang,' airing on the 29th, will be presented as a special episode titled "Back Home" to mark its 7th anniversary. The broadcast will reveal the daily life of Oh Yoon-ah and her son Min.
On the show, Oh Yoon-ah prepares Min's breakfast starting at 7 a.m. Appearing on 'Bunsiktang' for the first time in three years, Min is shown getting up, washing his face, grooming himself, and preparing for breakfast all on his own, without his mother's help.
Oh Yoon-ah says, "Min has already turned 20," adding, "He has grown a lot since then." She also shares the news that Min has joined a disability swim team and is active as an athlete.
Oh Yoon-ah expresses her joy, saying, "I just made sure he practiced swimming, which he loves, diligently, but for him to even get a job through it is truly a miracle-like event." She then visits Min's swimming training site to watch him approach his training as an athlete.
Min is also scheduled to participate in the domestic preliminary matches of the Special Olympics, an international sports competition for individuals with intellectual and autism disabilities. The broadcast will reveal Min continuing his new challenge as a swimmer.
Oh Yoon-ah married in 2007 and gave birth to her son that same year. After divorcing in 2015, she raised her son alone and shared news of her remarriage last July.
