AI robotics company XG announced on the 31st that it has signed a business cooperation agreement with Daewoo Construction to supply and apply robot barista solutions within Purigyo community centers.
Based on this agreement, both parties plan to implement the barista robot 'Barisbru' in community centers within Purigyo apartment complexes and will expand its application scope to Purigyo complexes nationwide in the future.
Barisbru is a solution that automates key processes of cafe operations, from order reception to beverage production and pickup. It can produce up to 125 drinks per hour, with an average OTC (order-to-completion time) of 1 minute and 48 seconds from order receipt to completion.
It is designed to provide stable service even in environments where usage concentrates during specific time periods. XG has been accumulating capabilities to respond to usage patterns and operational methods by space, while using actual cafes as testbeds and applying solutions to sites such as commercial facilities and corporate/institutional investors and commercial/living spaces.
This collaboration is a case of extending robot technology used in commercial facilities and corporate/institutional investors to large-scale residential complexes. Daewoo Construction aims to strengthen the service competitiveness of Purigyo communities, while XG aims to expand the application areas of its verified robot technologies to living spaces.
The first target for implementation is 'Yongin Purigyo One Cluster,' which consists of 1,681 households. Installation is scheduled to be completed in the first half of next year. Both parties are also considering expanding their cooperation scope to include robot services applicable to residential environments, such as multi-floor delivery using the autonomous delivery robot 'Storage.'
Hwang Sung-jae, CEO of XG, said, "Through this collaboration, we will expand the application area of Barisbru to living spaces and continue our cooperation so that various robot technologies can be naturally utilized in residents' daily lives in the future."
