LS Group announced on the 20th that it held 'LS Future Day,' an event focused on applying its technological and innovative capabilities to actual business operations to enhance productivity and profitability.
The event, held on the 18th at LS Tower in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, was attended by approximately 500 employees, including Koo Ja-eun (Chairman). The program featured sharing of new business ideas and research and development achievements.
Koo (Chairman) told employees, "Do not fear the speed of change in the AI (artificial intelligence) era; instead, become LS — a company that enjoys this pace faster than anyone else." He added, "This is an era where yesterday's science fiction becomes today's reality, and today's new technologies become ordinary tools tomorrow."
He further emphasized, "We must drastically improve productivity in offices and manufacturing sites, and integrate AI into our products and services to create new value that customers can truly experience."
During the performance-sharing program on the day, 19 projects were presented, including 'AI-based Cable Manufacturing Master' and 'High-Reliability Power Protection Platform for AI Data Centers.' Presenters demonstrated prototypes created through AI coding and produced videos using AI. Employees whose projects were selected as outstanding cases will be appointed as LS Futurists, gaining opportunities to visit industrial cities in China next year and benchmark local companies.
In the afternoon session of the LS Future Forum, sessions on leadership, business strategy, and financial strategy were held, along with a plenary session titled 'The Future of Manufacturing in the Physical AI Era.' Speakers included Yoon Song-i, CEO of Principia Venture Partners (PVP); Yoon Sung-ro, professor at Seoul National University; Kim Jang-hyun, partner at BCG; and Kwon Seok-jun, professor at Sungkyunkwan University. They shared insights on cultivating talent for the AI era and strategies for applying AI in industrial settings.
Over the past five years up to this year, LS Future Day has identified more than 500 ideas in the fields of batteries, next-generation power solutions, and AI. Seven projects are currently undergoing commercialization procedures, including the launch of LS Electric's integrated solar power generation service platform product and LS Mtron's development of a small tractor tailored for the North American market. Based on these efforts, LS Group plans to expand the application of AI in business and enhance synergies among its subsidiaries.
