A documentary video produced by Hyundai Mobis has successively won awards at global content award ceremonies. The content captures the daily lives of researchers and their work on the front lines of research and development.
Hyundai Mobis announced on the 7th that its documentary "Why Fight Cold?," which depicts the daily routines of researchers engaged in developing new technologies at a winter testing facility in Sweden, has won a triple crown at global content awards, including the Cannes Lions for Corporate Advertising in France.
The Cannes Lions for Corporate Advertising is a global advertising festival that selects corporate videos separately from general commercial film festivals. Hyundai Mobis was selected as a finalist in the Automotive category for two consecutive years, following its selection last year.
This documentary also won a silver award at the North American Telly Awards in May of this year. It received grand prizes in both the Documentary and Automotive categories at the Muse Creative Awards, recording a triple crown at global awards this year.
The video released by Hyundai Mobis on YouTube is approximately 20 minutes long. It was filmed through close coverage of the development activities of researchers responsible for core future mobility chassis technologies, such as electronic braking systems (EMB), rear-wheel steering systems (RWS), and air suspension. The filming location, a winter testing facility in Sweden, features an environment that drops to minus 40 degrees Celsius, capturing researchers who repeatedly verify their technologies and enhance their completeness for the development of new technologies.
Hyundai Mobis produces content based on stories from technology development sites so that the general public and customers can easily understand the technologies. It goes beyond simply introducing automotive technologies, instead unfolding the research and development process and the experiences of its members as a story.
Hyundai Mobis also won awards at domestic content-related award ceremonies. This year, it received the Grand Prize in the YouTube category at the 2026 Social i-Awards and the Grand Prize in the Media and Entertainment category at the ICT Awards Korea.
