LS Group announced its 2027 executive appointments, promoting Koo Bon-gyu, president and CEO of LS Cable & System, to the position of vice chairman.
The newly appointed vice chairman has been evaluated for leading the growth of major affiliates, including LS Cable & System, Gaon Cable, LS Eco Energy, and LS Marine Solution, since taking on the role of CEO of LS Cable & System in 2022.
He received high praise for achieving record-high performance and order results through the advancement of business structure and the strengthening of global competitiveness.
With this appointment, the third-generation owner-led management system at LS Group has been further strengthened. The newly appointed vice chairman is the eldest son of Koo Ja-yeop, honorary chairman of LS Cable & System.
Among the third-generation owners of LS Group, Koo Bon-hyuk, Vice Chairman and CEO of Inveni, became the first to be promoted to Vice Chairman in 2024. The newly appointed Vice Chairman followed suit, becoming the second third-generation owner to hold the title of Vice Chairman.
