Hancom will test its upcoming 'Agentic OS' at the actual workplace of Namyang Yooop. After verifying the productivity improvement effects of AI agents based on frontline data and business processes, the company plans to expand its operations to manufacturing and distribution enterprises.
On the 25th, Hancom announced that it signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Agentic OS Business Cooperation' with Namyang Yooop at Hancom Tower in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The signing ceremony was attended by Jin Seong-sik, Head of Hancom's Business Division, and Heo Tae-kwan, Gyeong Yeong-ji-won (Head) of Namyang Yooop.
Agentic OS is a platform that connects multiple AI agents with corporate data and existing business systems for integrated operation. Hancom aims to go beyond supplying single AI solutions by building an operational environment where AI agents can perform internal corporate tasks.
The two companies will proceed with a proof of concept (PoC) using the data and workflow of Namyang Yooop's frontline departments. They will design AI agents that support repetitive and standardized tasks, confirming their effects in reducing processing time and improving productivity. After validation, the scope of application will be gradually expanded starting from validated tasks.
Hancom will reflect the work execution processes and results of AI agents confirmed during this PoC into the enhancement of Agentic OS and industry-specific agent models. This signifies verifying the applicability of the technology in actual corporate environments before launching the official product.
Hancom is also expanding its AX business in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Previously, Hancom supplied AI solutions such as 'Hancom Assistant' and 'Hancom Pedia' to BGF Group. The company is now broadening its business focus from public institutions and state-owned enterprises like the National Assembly, Korea Western Power Development, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power to private companies.
In May, Hancom declared its transformation into a 'sovereign Agentic OS company' during its future strategy presentation. The company plans to sequentially launch beta versions and commercial versions of Agentic OS in the fourth quarter of this year.
Kim Yeon-soo, Han Keom (CEO), stated, "We will verify applicability based on actual corporate work environments and data, and concretize utilization models for each industry," adding, "We will expand new business opportunities targeting large domestic and foreign corporations and mid-sized companies."
