SK AX announced on the 26th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SAP for cooperation on SAP AutoKnowmerce Suite and business AI at SAP's headquarters in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The signing ceremony was attended by executives from both companies, including Kim Wan-jong, President of SK AX; Son Geon-il, Chief Customer Officer (CCO) of SK AX; and Shin Eun-young, CEO of SAP Korea. President Kim Wan-jong also met with Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, to discuss specific cooperation plans.
The purpose of this collaboration is to combine the technological capabilities held by SAP with SK AX's accumulated expertise in designing and operating industry-specific AI transformation (AX).
Based on proven professionalism and technical capabilities across various industrial sites, the companies plan to optimize overall corporate operations, including ERP systems, with agentic AI to enhance corporate productivity and decision-making speed.
SK AX plans to cooperate in various industries such as finance, manufacturing, and energy by utilizing SAP's AutoKnowmerce Suite, which provides an autonomous operating environment for AI agents; SAP Business AI, a portfolio of enterprise AI products; and its own XgenticWire ERP Suite (AXgenticWire ERP Suite).
The XgenticWire ERP Suite is an integrated service that supports everything from establishing customer ERP strategies to implementation, transformation, and operational innovation.
Among these, the AI product portfolio "My Finance" not only automates financial tasks but also supports anomaly detection and assists with ERP operations through "EAR Ops," while "EAR Studio" helps design, develop, and test ERP systems by applying AI, all supporting AX for enterprise customers.
The company also plans to provide "SK AX Field Deployment Engineer (FDE)," which provides close support for on-site ERP operations; "SK AX AIDE," a consulting service that assists with AI-based ERP transformation; and an AI agent-led ERP implementation methodology.
The XgenticWire ERP Suite will be registered in SAP's open platform, "AI Agent Hub," and supplied to enterprise customers worldwide. The goal is to help companies shorten their ERP implementation and transformation periods and improve operational quality.
Additionally, the company will participate in the "EAC" program, which applies products before their official release by SAP into business environments and enhances product maturity through close feedback processes with SAP.
Kim Wan-jong, President of SK AX, stated, "We are leading AX innovation through fundamental redesign of business processes and integration of AX based on our differentiated AX technology that covers existing legacy systems, data, and cloud to enhance the competitiveness of enterprise customers." He added, "Based on this strategic collaboration with SAP, we and SK Group will create pioneering success stories in AI-native enterprises first and expand them to domestic and international markets."
