Three Netmarble games received the '2026 Game of the Year' award, organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). The awards were established to promote domestic game creation and boost enthusiasm for game development.
Netmarble announced on the 15th that three of its games — 'Mongil: Star Dive', 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins', and 'Stone Age Raising' — won in the General Game Blockbuster category of the '2026 Game of the Year' awards.
'Mongil: Star Dive' is a sequel to the popular mobile collection RPG (role-playing game) 'Monster Taming,' released in 2013. Key features include high-quality characters and story direction based on Unreal Engine 5, a 'Monster Collecting' system for capturing, collecting, and synthesizing monsters, and real-time tag-based party play with thrilling combat action.
Kim Geon, CEO of Netmarble Monster, said, "We thank our users for their great support," adding, "Moving forward, we will remain true to our original vision, communicate consistently, and continue to improve the game's quality."
'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins' is an open-world RPG based on the IP (intellectual property) of the globally popular manga 'The Seven Deadly Sins,' which has sold over 55 million copies worldwide. Players can freely explore the continent of Britannia by switching among various heroes and enjoy diverse actions depending on their combat and hero combinations.
Koo Do-hyeong, CEO of Netmarble F&C, stated, "We are deeply honored that 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins' was selected," and added, "We will provide even better gaming experiences through differentiated fun and high-quality content."
'Stone Age Raising' is the latest title based on the IP of 'Stone Age,' enjoyed by 200 million players. Players can combine six trainers with 18 pets to build a legion-level deck of up to 24 units and deploy their own strategies. Its simple and intuitive system allows anyone to enjoy the game without burden.
Kwon Min-gwan, CEO of Netmarble N2U, said, "To mark the six-month anniversary of 'Stone Age Raising,' we have launched a large-scale update and events," adding, "We will continue to add new content consistently so that players can enjoy the game for a long time."
Meanwhile, Netmarble has prepared special rewards for users to celebrate the awards. Details are available on the official forums.
