SK Telecom is expanding its 'Run Mate' program targeting running customers. Following sponsorship of the '2026 Infinite Challenge Run in Gyeongju (Mudo Run)', it has launched an autumn campaign to attract runners, offering participation tickets for the upcoming November '2026 Garmin Run Korea' and running shoes.
SKT announced on the 20th that it will sequentially roll out a series of promotions titled "Challenge your own run with Run Mate." Run Mate is a program bundling smart devices, plans, race participation, and related products and benefits for runners.
The first promotion offers a total of 500 invitation tickets to Garmin Run Korea, scheduled for November 15 at Goyang Sports Complex. SKT customers can enter the draw by selecting either the 10km or half marathon course on the Run Mate promotion page until next month's 11th.
SKT will randomly select 250 winners from all applicants. Separately, it will choose another 250 winners among customers using 'Best Max·Pro·109 (smart devices)' or 'Direct 5G 76 (smart devices)' plans who receive installment discounts on smart device payments. Among the winners, 20 individuals will additionally receive Adidas running shoes 'Adizero EVO SL'.
SKT also participated as a main sponsor at Mudo Run held in Gyeongju on the 19th. Approximately 3,400 visitors stopped by the Run Mate booth set up at the venue. The company operated a space where participants who posted verification photos on social media could have their finish records engraved on the back of their finish medals and experience Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Watch9, Galaxy Buds4, and Buds4 Pro.
Water stations were installed at six race course locations, providing water, glucose candies, and bananas. At the finish line, a 'Cooling Gate' was set up to spray mist. Previously, SKT had expanded running-related benefits by introducing smart devices from Garmin and Shaz in October and offering chances to participate in Mudo Run. Over the next month, SKT plans to conduct follow-up promotions including 10km runs, improving running pace, and recording running challenges.
Yoon Jae-woong, Head of SKT's Product & Brand Division, stated, "We have prepared promotions so that runners can carry the joy of finishing into their next challenge," adding, "We will continue to expand Run Mate products and benefits that genuinely support the entire running journey."
