Model and broadcaster Joo Woo-jae (40) offered firm advice to a woman in her early 20s who was contemplating her future with a divorced man, one zodiac sign older than her, who already has a child.
In a video released on his YouTube channel on the 27th, Joo Woo-jae spent time reading various stories from subscribers and offering advice on their concerns.
While saying he would "love to see some provocative stories," Joo Woo-jae added, "But I hope none of you are going through such things," eliciting laughter.
The story's author, who identified herself as a woman in her early 20s, shared her concerns, stating she was "in a relationship with a divorced man who is one zodiac sign older and has a child."
The author revealed that she had been semi-cohabiting with her boyfriend for nearly a year and was even thinking about their future together. In particular, she said her affection for him deepened as she witnessed his responsible demeanor during his custody lawsuit.
However, her concerns began when her boyfriend recently reunited with his three-year-old son through visitation rights after a year apart. The author, who met the child alongside her boyfriend, faced reality and thought, "This man is truly a father."
The author expressed feelings of burden and complex emotions about whether she could build a family with a boyfriend who has a child. She confessed, "I love my boyfriend, but if I cannot accept reality, should we break up?" and "I don't know if these feelings are arising because this is an unfamiliar side of him that I am seeing for the first time."
Joo Woo-jae emphasized, "You are in your early 20s, aren't you? Listen to your old man." He continued, "The author may be under a significant misconception. There is a high probability that she believes 'this feeling is the entirety of my life and the most passionate love.' From where I stand, it is absolutely not."
He added, "Being divorced, the age gap, or having a child are not the important issues." He stated, "What is regrettable is that at such a young age, she is trying to make a decision without considering what might happen in the future through experience."
While acknowledging that it was likely true that the author had an intimate relationship with her boyfriend, Joo Woo-jae advised, "You will never be able to feel the emotions I am talking about, but there is a 100% probability that what you are thinking now is not the case. If it were me, I would enjoy dating with a lighter heart and not think about the future."
