Actor Oh Ji-myung expressed his sorrow at the wake of his late close friend, Choi Bul-am.
On the 31st, Oh visited the funeral home at Seoul Asan Medical Center on Olympic-ro in Songpa-gu, Seoul, where the wake for the late Choi Bul-am was set up, to pay his respects.
After paying his respects, Oh spoke about his connection with the late actor, saying, "He was my closest friend; we have been friends since high school." He added, "We did theater together, and afterward, PD Im Hak-song brought us both on as KBS special-recruitment talents."
He continued, "This friend and I would always say to each other, 'Will you die first, or will I?'... I thought I would go first, but this friend left before me, so I feel unnecessarily sorry."
Choi Bul-am and Oh Ji-myung were both born in 1939, and they appeared together in the movie "Don't Mess Around" (2004) during their lifetimes.
Meanwhile, Choi Bul-am passed away at 10:30 p.m. on the 29th while receiving treatment at a hospital in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, due to deteriorating health. He was 87 years old. The late actor's wake was held at the Seoul Asan Medical Center funeral home, and it has been open to the general public for condolences since the 30th.
The departure of the coffin will take place on November 2, which is the fifth day after his passing. During his lifetime, Choi Bul-am was a devout Catholic, so a funeral mass for the late actor will be held at Yeouido Cathedral after the departure ceremony.
