Actor Son Ji-chang shared the difficulties he encountered in operating his event planning firm.
Son Ji-chang, who has been running an event planning company for 26 years, appeared on the episode of KBS2's "The Boss Has Donkey Ears" broadcast on Sunday.
Introducing his business, Son said, "We plan and execute corporate year-end parties, concerts, lectures, award ceremonies, and more. Overseas, we also handle factory groundbreaking ceremonies."
When asked about the company's annual revenue, he stated, "Before the pandemic, our annual sales reached up to 6 billion won, but we are currently in recovery. It seems to be around 4 to 5 billion won now."

Behind the glamorous events lay hidden struggles. When a panelist described event planning companies as being at the very bottom of the hierarchy, noting the burden of having to satisfy both visitors and clients, Son replied, "That's right. That's why, when I go to overseas events, I only sleep for three hours a day."
He continued, "(Kim) Min-jong came over, saw what we do, and cried. He asked, 'Why are you doing this, hyung?'" adding, "There were many things that hurt my pride."
The company revealed on the show had many long-tenured employees. A panelist highly praised Son's leadership, noting that despite the industry's frequent staff turnover due to demanding work, his firm has a large number of employees who have stayed for a long time.
Employees also said, "Boss Son Ji-chang is like a mother," explaining that he takes good care of their meals and even reserves popular restaurants for meetings. However, they also pointed out a downside, saying, "He has a quick temper. It seems he gets angry if we can't keep up with his pace."
