Physician and entrepreneur Esther Yeo and her husband, broadcaster and former medical specialist reporter Hong Hye-keol, confess that they have never kissed during their marriage.
On the evening of the 1st at 8:30 p.m., the KBS2 variety program 'Problem Children in the Attic' will feature Esther Yeo and Hong Hye-keol as guests.
In that day's broadcast, the couple revealed that they have never kissed in 33 years.
In the advance release video, Esther Yeo said, "There is kissing and there is pecking, right? I thought kissing only happened in movies," adding, "I've never even had the thought (of trying to kiss)." When the cast expressed surprise, Hong Hye-keol chimed in, saying, "Most people from our generation are like that."
When all the cast members asked, "Didn't you try kissing while pecking?" Hong Hye-keol responded, "Everyone has such strong sexual desires," drawing laughter.
The couple's ultra-fast marriage process is also revealed. Hong Hye-keol stated that he was a 'born single' with no dating experience until he met Esther Yeo, a junior at Seoul National University College of Medicine, at a medical seminar, and they got married just 94 days after starting their relationship.
Recalling the time when they were dating, Hong Hye-keol said, "We talked for over 10 hours," adding, "At that time, I really didn't realize how much time had passed."
In the preview video, Hong Hye-keol revealed that he receives his allowance for the year in cash from his wife Esther Yeo, a businesswoman with annual sales of 300 billion won, and also receives funding for her YouTube channel operations.
To this, Esther Yeo said, "Except for card payments, cash is provided separately."
Hong Hye-keol boasted, "My wife supports me with 180 million won a month (for the YouTube channel operations)."
In response, Hong Hye-keol was introduced as one of the four great kings of men who have done well in marriage in the entertainment industry, following film director Jang Hang-jun, singer Lee Sang-soon, and broadcaster Do Kyung-wan.
To this, Hong Hye-keol said, "I am definitely number one. Those others work, don't they? I do nothing at all." He continued, "I could die for Esther Yeo. I'm 100% confident," expressing his enduring affection even in their 33rd year of marriage.
Hearing this, Esther Yeo responded with a laugh, saying, "Actually, I believe that," while adding, "My husband is too kind; if I die, he'll find someone else to marry."
Esther Yeo is a preventive medicine doctor and specialist in family medicine from Seoul National University. She married Hong Hye-keol, who she met as a senior or junior at Seoul National University College of Medicine, in 1994, and they have two sons. Esther Yeo runs a health supplement company boasting annual sales of 450 billion won including subsidiaries and 300 billion won for the headquarters.
