Mamamoo member Solar was struck by a chair thrown by an unknown man while in Los Angeles (LA), USA.
On the 31st, Solar revealed what happened to her recently in the U.S. during a live broadcast on her Instagram.
Solar stated that she was injured after being hit by a chair thrown by an unknown man while walking down a street in LA with Moonbyul, a hair stylist, and two male managers.
She said, “A man from the opposite side came right up to us in the blink of an eye. He was holding a chair, so I thought, ‘What’s going on?’ Then suddenly he started cursing at me in English and threw the chair at me.” She recounted the situation as it happened.
She continued, “He threw the chair toward the ground near me, but I ended up getting hit by it,” adding, “This is the first time in my life something like this has happened to me.”
When managers who were following closely behind immediately intervened, the man reportedly left the scene shortly after.
Solar said, “It was an incident that happened a few days ago,” and shared her shock at the time: “I was so flustered and startled that I couldn’t even scream; I just stood there in shock.”
She further explained, “It was a wooden chair, and it broke when he threw it. I had bruises on my leg, but they’ve since disappeared. At the time, I was so shocked I didn’t even realize it hurt.”
Mamamoo is currently on their world tour, “MAMAMOO 2026 World Tour.” Following their performance in LA on the 25th of last month, they performed in San Jose on the 27th and Kent, Washington, on the 30th. The tour will continue to Jakarta, Indonesia; Melbourne and Sydney, Australia; Hong Kong; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Tokyo, Japan.
