Broadcaster Kim Gu-ra (55, real name Kim Hyun-dong) expressed his wish to retire at age 60.
On the 16th, a video titled "Cho Hye-ryeon's honest confession of meeting Kim Gu-ra alone for the first time in 30 years" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Jo Hye-ryeon: Jo Hye-ryeon'.
In the video, Kim Gu-ra and Cho Hye-ryeon met at a restaurant and discussed their broadcasting activities and retirement.
Cho Hye-ryeon said, "Looking back now, I am so grateful that both of us are still in good health in 2026," adding, "I think I can continue working for more than 20 years from now," which drew laughter.
In response, Kim Gu-ra shook his head and coldly said, "No," further drawing laughter.
Cho Hye-ryeon asked Kim Gu-ra about his retirement from the entertainment industry, saying, "Didn't you say you'd stop now?" Kim Gu-ra replied that his goal is age 60, drawing attention.
Kim Gu-ra said, "I always think about life after retirement. 'I will work until I die' is not it," but also left room for possibility by saying, "For now, I'll work hard until I'm 60, and if opportunities are given to me then, I'll do it."
Kim Gu-ra was born in 1970 and is currently 55 years old. He debuted as an SBS second-round public recruitment comedian in 1993 and gained popularity through internet broadcasting during his unknown period. Starting with the KBS 2FM radio program 'Gu-ra's Gayo Plaza' in 2004, he rose to become a leading broadcaster through programs such as 'Star Golden Bell', 'Star Junior Show Bungeoppang', 'Golden Apples Radio Star', and 'Sebaqui'.
