
Broadcaster Lee Hui-jae has lost his father.
According to broadcasting industry sources on the 6th, Lee Hui-jae's father, Lee Kang-il, passed away in the early hours of that day. He was 87 years old at the time of his death.
Lee Hui-jae received the news of his father's passing three years after mourning the loss of his mother in 2023.
The late man had appeared on various broadcasts with his son during his lifetime. In 2013, on KBS2's 'Super Dad is Back,' he was shown spending a happy daily life meeting Lee Hui-jae and his twin grandsons.
After announcing his deteriorating health in 2015, the late man showed signs of not recognizing his grandchildren in the 2017 broadcast footage, bringing Lee Hui-jae to tears.

Lee Hui-jae debuted in 1992 with the MBC variety show 'Sunday Sunday Night' and hosted numerous popular variety programs such as 'Sponge,' 'My Wife's Taste,' and 'Super Dad is Back.' Recently, he resumed his broadcasting activities through KBS2's 'Immortal Songs.'
He married florist Moon Jung-won in 2010 and had twin sons in 2013.
The late man's wake was set up in Room 9 of the Seoul Hanyang University Hospital funeral hall, with the departure ceremony scheduled for 9 a.m. on the 8th, and the burial site is Seoul Chumo Park.
