Singer Seo In-young, a former member of the group Jewelry, dismissed the rumor that she had assaulted her junior colleague IU in the past, stating, "It is not true."
On the 7th, Seo In-young uploaded a video to her YouTube channel showing her visiting singer Baek Ji-yeong's home.
In the video, while having a meal with Baek Ji-yeong, Seo In-young revealed that a false rumor had been circulating about her hitting her junior colleague IU in the past.
Seo In-young said, "A rumor started that I took IU to the bathroom and hit her," adding, "Why on earth would I hit her? We have no close relationship at all," expressing her frustration.
In response, Baek Ji-yeong joked, "Maybe you hit her because you weren't close." She then said, "But I understand why the rumor started," and laughed, adding, "Hearing this kind of story is just fun (regardless of whether it's true or not)."
The rumor about Seo In-young assaulting IU spread after being mentioned on a variety show in 2011. Subsequently, Seo In-young and IU appeared on different variety shows to clarify that the claim was untrue.
