SK Hynix labor and management have reached a tentative agreement after a long period of negotiations over this year's wages and collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Following the conclusion of overnight representative talks, labor and management plan to finalize the specific wording of the tentative agreement and then inform members through an emergency delegate assembly.
According to the electronics industry on the 19th, SK Hynix labor and management concluded their representative negotiations for a CBA deal early this morning. It was reported that they will later today finalize the specific wording to be included in the tentative agreement.
The tentative agreement is expected to be communicated to members through an emergency special delegate assembly. SK Hynix members are anticipating the public release of the detailed agreement content on the 21st.
The core issues in this year's CBA were the method of distributing shares as part of the excess profit-sharing bonus (PS) and wage adjustments during deficit periods. Management proposed paying a significant portion of PS in shares with restrictions on selling for a certain period, but the union has opposed this, arguing that it would place the burden of stock price fluctuations on members.
Meanwhile, labor and management conducted their sixth round of negotiations on the 11th and 12th, followed by marathon talks during the Liberation Day holiday from the 15th to the 17th. The union also informed its members at that time that significant progress had been made on key agenda items, leaving only final adjustments for a conclusive agreement.
