
Three major domestic department stores have launched regular autumn sales to mark the start of the peak shopping season. From discount benefits to pop-ups and cultural and sports events targeting the October bridge holiday, they are launching initiatives to attract customers.
According to industry sources on the 28th, Lotte Department Store will hold a regular autumn sale at all its locations from the 1st to the 11th of next month. Participating brands will offer discounts of up to 40%, and on weekends, customers will receive up to 5-10% of their purchase amount in Lotte gift certificates.
Events featuring sports will also continue. On the 18th of next month, it will host '2026 Style Run,' a running event by Yoo Tong-eop-gye (CEO). This year, it will expand its sports content by launching running and HYBE-led Sports Challenge 'Day Out' for the first time.
Until the 18th, Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mall, and Outlet stores will hold the 'Lotte Active Week' event. The 'Lotte Active Festival,' held at the outdoor plaza of Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport Branch on the 9th and 10th, is a representative example. It is designed to allow participants to enjoy challenge-type activities such as pickleball, tent pitching, uphill trails, and pull-ups in the city center. Lotte gift certificates and discount coupons will be given on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the number of participations.
In addition, it has prepared a picnic zone where customers can bring their own mats to rest, an outdoor cinema for watching movies outside, outdoor yoga classes, and a night camping program.

Shinsegae Department Store will hold regular sales at all its locations from the 1st to the 18th of next month. Over 300 brands in fashion, sports, children's goods and miscellaneous items, and daily life will participate. Discounts ranging from 10% to 60% have been prepared, along with gift-giving events. During the event period, customers who pay 200,000 won or more at participating brands using affiliated cards will receive a 10,000 won discount coupon, and those who pay 600,000 won or more will receive a 30,000 won discount coupon.
It has also prepared cultural content for shopping and entertainment targeting the bridge holiday. At Shinsegae Gangnam Branch, an official pop-up store of Japanese manga publisher Shueisha called 'Jump Shop' will be open until the 6th of next month, showcasing popular manga character goods such as 'One Piece' and 'Sakamoto Days.' The main branch will also display works by artist Park Sun-ki until the 19th.

Hyundai Department Store will hold regular sales at all its locations from the 1st to the 18th of next month. Over 200 brands in fashion, living, and sports will participate, offering discounts of up to 60%.
Events are being held at each store. At Pangyo Branch, a 'Beauty Festa' featuring 48 beauty brands is being held, with cosmetics discounted by up to 70%. At Mokdong Branch, seven golf brands are holding 'Golf Daejeon,' offering discounts of up to 70% on golf apparel and shoes.
Events targeting the autumn wedding season are also underway. From the 2nd to the 18th of next month, a Wedding Fair will be held for Club Wedding members, awarding double wedding miles on purchases of luxury goods, watches, and jewelry.
Bedding and mattress events targeting the moving season demand will continue as well. At Trade Center Branch, a 'Bedding Festa' is being held with goose down and wool bedding discounted by up to 70%, while at Mokdong Branch, mattresses are being discounted by up to 45% through Sealy and Tempur relay pop-ups.
