The Middle-aged and Senior Tomorrow Center, operated by Mainbiz Association (Korea Management Innovation SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) Association), is expanding customized job support that connects the career experience of middle-aged and senior job seekers with companies' hiring needs. The center identifies positions required by companies and facilitates recruitment, while also holding recruitment fairs to broaden contact points with job seekers.
According to the Middle-aged and Senior Tomorrow Center on the 29th, 7,710 job seekers visited the center this year, of whom 2,486 secured employment and 888 found jobs through the center's connections. Anyone aged 40 or older can utilize employment support services, including career counseling.
The center helps with employment by identifying talent needed by companies and linking them with job-related training, counseling, and government subsidies through the Ministry of Employment and Labor's "Tomorrow Connection Package." It was selected as an excellent institutional investor for five consecutive years in the Ministry of Employment and Labor institutional investor evaluation.
The "Digital Alternative Material Production Practitioner Training Program," established through a partnership with Book Publishing Braille, is a representative achievement. Of the 20th trainees, 19 are currently working as freelancers or intern practitioners. Kim Dong-bok, president of Book Publishing Braille, said, "Producing alternative materials such as braille books, electronic braille, and audio materials requires high concentration and meticulous review skills, and we received significant help in securing suitable personnel."

The Middle-aged and Senior Tomorrow Center also held the "2026 Together Middle-aged and Senior Recruitment Fair" with the Seoul Employment and Labor Office on this day, providing an opportunity to connect companies with middle-aged and senior job seekers. Eighteen companies, including major retailers such as E-Mart, Papa Mobility, and Core I&C, plan to hire approximately 90 people.
Lee Won-ju, director of the Seoul Employment and Welfare Plus Center, said, "As we enter a super-aged society where the population aged 65 and over exceeds 20% of the total population, the working-age population is shrinking, making it difficult for companies to secure personnel." He added, "We will support this fair so that it directly connects companies' hiring needs with the experience and capabilities of middle-aged and senior job seekers on-site, leading to substantive recruitment."
Core I&C plans to hire six experienced professionals who can be immediately deployed to overseas contracted projects in fields such as overseas project management and electrical engineering. Papa Mobility is recruiting drivers for its premium ceremonial service. Prior to the fair, various middle-aged and senior job seekers with experience in diverse professional fields, including general corporate retirees, retired civil servants and police officers, and military veterans, participated in company briefings and on-site interviews.
Cha Young-tae, head of Mainbiz Association, said, "We will support middle-aged and senior individuals to leverage the careers and experiences they have accumulated by demonstrating their capabilities in industrial settings. We will also work to alleviate SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) labor shortages and create stable employment by linking with companies' personnel needs."
