Kim Jong-chul, CEO of KAI (Korea Aerospace Industries), stated this at the KAI 27th anniversary founding ceremony held on the 30th at the headquarters in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, adding, "We will transform our corporate culture into a world-class advanced platform company that encompasses not only military but also civilian sectors and future mobility, as well as manned-unmanned integrated systems and space."
He emphasized quality completeness and expansion into the civilian sector as key tasks for realizing this vision. The plan is to solidify customer trust through the perfect delivery of the KF-21, which has entered its full-scale Yangsan phase, and by securing preventive-centered quality for Miru-on, while expanding the business structure into the civilian sector through international joint development of next-generation civil aircraft and independent model development of future advanced dual-use (civilian-military) aircraft (AAV).
Kim (President) emphasized, "We will build a sustainable virtuous cycle system of mutual growth with partners so that KAI's growth can lead to the development of Korea's aerospace industry," and stated, "We will establish an organizational system for rapid decision-making based on data and AI (artificial intelligence), and redesign authority and responsibility centered on the field." He added, "We will secure super-gap competitiveness through cultural innovation that does not fear failure."
Specifically, KAI plans to continue its growth trend centered on six future core businesses: △next-generation civil aircraft △AAV △AI (artificial intelligence) manned-unmanned integrated systems △6th-generation fighter jets △next-generation high-speed medium mobility helicopters △space solutions.
