According to the astronomical information released by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute for 2026, the full moon on Chuseok (the 25th) can be seen nationwide between 5:24 p.m. and 5:35 p.m.
Based on sea level at 0 meters, the moonrise times in major cities are as follows: △Seoul 5:34 p.m., △Incheon 5:35 p.m., △Daejeon 5:32 p.m., △Daegu 5:27 p.m., △Gwangju 5:34 p.m., △Busan 5:25 p.m., △Ulsan 5:24 p.m., and △Sejong 5:33 p.m.
However, it is not a completely full moon (full moon phase). The moment when the moon is positioned directly opposite the sun, marking the exact "full moon" phase, occurs at 1:49 a.m. on September 27. Therefore, the full moon visible on Chuseok will appear slightly less than fully round, with the left side somewhat incomplete.
