Rapper Yang Hong-won has been embroiled in affair suspicions just five days after his wedding, amid reports that he and his wife, model Won Hyeon-ju, have unfollowed each other on social media. With all of Won Hyeon-ju's social media posts also disappearing, attention is turning to the state of their relationship.
Since affair suspicions regarding Yang Hong-won were raised on the 23rd, it was revealed that Yang Hong-won and Won Hyeon-ju are no longer following each other's Instagram accounts.
Subsequently, on the 24th, all of Won Hyeon-ju's Instagram posts also disappeared. Posts that had remained until the morning of that day were displayed as zero, and her profile picture was also removed. Her follower count remained at approximately 224,000.
At the time, an individual claiming to be an acquaintance of Yang Hong-won, identified as A, posted on their social media with content to the effect that "the newlywed groom just went to a motel with a woman. Isn't this wrong?" A raised affair suspicions by revealing messages sent to Won Hyeon-ju and the contents of phone calls with Yang Hong-won.
In response, Yang Hong-won's agency, AP Alchemy, refuted the claims, stating that "the whistleblower's allegations are contrary to the facts, and the materials presented by the whistleblower are maliciously edited results."
The agency acknowledged that Yang Hong-won accompanied the woman to a motel but stated that "they did not have any significant conversation during the drinking session, and there was absolutely no affectionate behavior in the room."
It further claimed that the whistleblower had threatened Yang Hong-won and the woman by demanding money, and when the demand was not met, exposed false facts. The agency explained that Yang Hong-won and the woman have each filed complaints against the whistleblower for extortion, violation of the Stalking Punishment Act, and defamation through the dissemination of false facts.
The woman who accompanied him to the motel also denied the affair suspicions via social media on the 24th.
The woman stated that "the whistleblower's claims differ greatly from the facts I have experienced and remember," adding, "The whistleblower threatened me by demanding money, but when I did not pay, they exposed me, and I have filed a criminal complaint."
She further claimed that she accompanied Yang Hong-won to the motel at the whistleblower's request, stating, "Nothing really happened; he slept on the bed, and I slept on the floor immediately."
The woman also revealed a message sent by the whistleblower to her, which read, "So, do you want to settle this cleanly with 50 [million won]? I'll delete all your information."
Meanwhile, Yang Hong-won and Won Hyeon-ju had been dating since 2017 and welcomed a daughter in November 2024. The couple has been sharing their parenting daily life through the YouTube channel "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary" since May of last year.
They held their wedding on the 18th, but affair suspicions arose just five days later.
