As suspicions of an affair emerged just five days after rapper Yang Hong-won's wedding, the woman known to have gone with him to a motel issued a statement.
According to News1 on the 24th, Woman A, who was exposed as having entered a motel with Yang Hong-won, stated through her social media (SNS) that day, "I am posting a statement regarding the controversy currently arising from the exposure related to me."
Woman A said, "The accuser's claims differ greatly from the facts I experienced and remember," adding, "The accuser threatened me by demanding money, but when I did not pay, they exposed me. I have filed a criminal complaint."
She continued, "The circumstances of the drinking party in the accuser's claims are also different (we did not play games involving physical contact), and it was only when morning came that I briefly asked them to step away," claiming, "In the process of going to the motel, I had no prior acquaintance with the singer, but the accuser continuously demanded that I follow the singer to the motel and said they would contact me later."
She added, "The singer showed some discomfort, but was drunk, and I followed the singer on the promise that they would contact me soon," stating, "Truly, nothing happened; he slept in the bed, and I slept right there on the floor."
Woman A said, "As time passed, during the process of receiving financial threats, I realized that what happened that day was a planned scheme to extort money and that I had been used," expressing, "I regret my poor judgment while drunk, and the current situation where my personal information is being discussed up and down is very shocking and extremely exhausting."
Woman A also released messages exchanged with Accuser B, who initially claimed the incident. According to the messages, Accuser B told Woman A, "So, do you want to settle it cleanly by paying 50 [million won] and be done? I will delete all your information," adding, "Honestly, I was planning to keep extorting 10 to 30 [million won] each time."
Previously, Accuser B had posted on their SNS a statement to the effect that "a newlywed groom just got married and went to a motel with a woman," raising suspicions of an affair involving Yang Hong-won.
In response, Yang Hong-won's agency, AP Alchemy, stated, "We acknowledge that our artist and the victimized woman were unavoidably accompanied to the motel," while adding, "There was no significant conversation during the drinking party, and there was absolutely no intimate behavior in the room."
The agency continued, "The accuser threatened our artist and the victimized woman to extort money, but when things did not go as planned, they made an exposure based on false facts," reporting, "Accordingly, our artist and the victimized woman have filed complaints against the accuser for extortion, violation of the Stalking Punishment Act, and defamation through the dissemination of false facts."
Meanwhile, Yang Hong-won and model Won Hyeon-ju welcomed a daughter in November 2024. Since then, the couple has been sharing their daily life raising their daughter, Rhea, on their YouTube channel "Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary" since last May. They held their wedding on the 18th, two years after giving birth to their daughter, but were engulfed in affair suspicions just five days later.
