Singer and painter Solbi showed a lukewarm reaction to the proposal from her fiancé, actor Lee Kyu-han.
Solbi appeared via phone interview on the podcast "Song Eun-i and Kim Suk's Secret Treasure," released on the 28th.
Solbi mentioned an incident during the first filming of KBS Joy's "Pursuit of Long-Awaited Meetings (Omanchu)," which she had appeared in with Lee Kyu-han, where the production team promised to send a couple on their honeymoon if any of the participants ended up getting married.
She then said, "It aired that at our first meeting they said, 'If you get married here, we'll send you on your honeymoon.' We had suggested going overseas back then."
When Song Eun-i, the producer of "Omanchu," asked in a flustered manner, "How can your memory be so good?" Solbi replied, "So I told my older brother, 'Don't worry about the honeymoon. Eun-i unnie is here,'" eliciting laughter.
Solbi named Sicily, Italy, as her desired honeymoon destination. She said, "Because I was a Roman princess, I want to go to Sicily in southern Italy."
Song Eun-i and Kim Suk tried to persuade her, saying, "It would be nice to go somewhere close like Hong Kong" and "I heard you also said Tsushima Island in Japan is good," but Solbi revealed specific plans, stating, "After going to Sicily, it might be good to tour southern Italy and then head to Greece."
Song Eun-i cited the European political situation as a reason to dissuade her again, but Solbi firmly replied, "The weather in Italy is really nice from April to May. I've done all the research," bringing laughter.
Questions about the proposal followed. Solbi showed a lukewarm reaction, and Song Eun-i and Kim Suk burst out laughing, saying, "Is it not to your liking?" "Let's do it one more time on air," and "You're being honest. It shows."
Solbi said, "I was moved. I was happy," adding, "In any case, there will be many opportunities ahead, so I'm looking forward to Christmas," eliciting laughter once again.
Meanwhile, Solbi and Lee Kyu-han met through "Omanchu" last year and developed a romantic relationship, announcing their marriage on the 15th. They are scheduled to hold their wedding in April next year.
