Ko Young-wook, formerly of the group Rula, has made remarks regarding his potential return to broadcasting.
On the 25th, Ko posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Regarding matters that have become public knowledge, it is an unchangeable fact that my return to broadcasting is impossible unless something extraordinary occurs."
He continued, "I already enjoyed excessive love and popularity from the public beyond my capabilities in the past," adding, "Although there are various personal regrets, I am accepting them and moving forward."
Regarding his recent activities, he stated, "I am simply someone who goes grocery shopping and lives as an ordinary citizen while cleaning up after dogs at home."
Recently, he expressed dissatisfaction over news articles that emerged after he repeatedly mentioned various figures in the entertainment industry through social media (SNS).
Ko remarked, "I merely posted my thoughts on X, and diligent journalists have faithfully turned them into articles. Please stop acting recklessly and making a fuss; instead, focus on your own daily lives."
Previously, he had repeatedly posted messages mentioning several entertainers, including Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Sang-min, Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Ji-hye, and Park Ha-seon.
On the 23rd, regarding broadcaster Jang Do-yeon, he said, "Whenever I turn on the TV, it's Jang Do-yeon here and Jang Do-yeon there. All I remember is her dancing frivolously without fitting in or being funny on 'Comedy Big League' back then. Can't they find any other MCs?"
On the same day, addressing comedian Jang Dong-min, he mentioned their past interactions and wrote, "When my situation erupted, Se-yoon, Sang-mu, and Defconn all sent me brief text messages, but only Dong-min did not contact me. I have always remembered that."
Regarding actor Yoo Ah-in's news of returning to films after being punished for drug use, he also left a comment saying, "Is it okay with drugs?"
Ko debuted in 1994 as a member of Rula and gained popularity with hit songs such as "Wings Lost Angel" and "3!4!". He was later indicted for sexually assaulting and forcibly molesting three minors and received a final sentence of two years and six months in prison in 2013. He was also ordered to disclose his personal information for five years and wear an electronic tracking device for three years. He completed his full sentence and was released in 2015.
