Singer and broadcaster E Jiwon revealed an anecdote about losing contact with his former Sechs Kies member Kim Jae-deok to the point of filing a missing person report.
On the 21st, a video titled "If We Debut Again, Will I Be Leader? Regular Chat Session" was released on the YouTube channel 'Channel Bandal'. The video featured Sechs Kies' E Jiwon, EXO's Suho, SEVENTEEN's S.Coups, and Boy Next Door's Myung Jae-hyun discussing their lives as idols.
In the video, S.Coups expressed that a message he sent to member Joshua had gone unread for a month, stating, "There were hundreds of KakaoTalk messages piled up. Not only mine, but everyone's went unread."
E Jiwon then said, "Among our members, there are some we can't get in touch with easily," bringing up the story about Kim Jae-deok. He added, "We filed a missing person report. We thought he had died alone. It was Jae-deok. We couldn't reach him, so we reported it."
He continued, "He wasn't even in Seoul. He had cleared out his Seoul home and moved down to Busan," conveying the situation at the time. It is understood that Kim Jae-deok had tidied up his life in Seoul and relocated his residence to his hometown of Busan.
In fact, Kim Jae-deok's whereabouts had not been made public for about five years, raising concerns. Sechs Kies member Jang Su-won also said, "When I send him a text message, he replies three weeks or even a month later with 'Why?' And when I respond, the answer comes back a month later."
