LX Semicon has designated Na Jun-ho, head of the Strategy and Marketing Division (Vice President), as its new CEO, aiming to accelerate efforts to strengthen its core business and cultivate new growth areas.
LX Semicon announced that it held a board meeting on Tuesday to designate Na as the new CEO and to carry out its 2027 regular executive personnel changes, which included the new appointment of one director. Designate Na is scheduled to officially assume the role of CEO after next year’s shareholders’ meeting and board approval.
This personnel change is a strategic move to solidify its dominance in the display system semiconductor market while identifying future growth opportunities amid rapidly evolving technological conditions. Since 2022, LX Semicon has been developing automotive MCUs as a key pillar for future growth in response to vehicle electrification and the restructuring of global supply chains.
Designate Na joined LG Semiconductor before entering LX Semicon in 2001. He subsequently served as head of the Driver IC Development Team, head of the Large Display Development Group, and head of the TV & IT Business Division, driving revenue growth.
Since 2024, he has overseen marketing, sales, procurement, and supply chain management for new business areas—including MCUs and heat-dissipation substrates—alongside display semiconductors, in his capacity as head of the Strategy and Marketing Division.
A company official said, “This executive personnel change aligns with our performance-based approach,” adding, “We plan to actively appoint talent equipped with expertise and strong execution capabilities to lead organizational change and innovation, thereby accelerating efforts to enhance business competitiveness and secure future growth drivers.”
Meanwhile, senior researcher Kang Moon-seok was newly appointed as an executive director in this personnel change.
