Samsung Electronics will release the 'Galaxy S26 FE', which inherits the AI (artificial intelligence) and camera features of the Galaxy S series, in Korea on September 4. The price is set at 1.045 million won, an increase of 99,000 won from the previous model (946,000 won), surpassing the 1st million won mark.
Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE on the 27th. The new device is equipped with a proprietary AP (application processor) called 'Exynos 2500' based on a 3-nanometer process, 8GB of memory, and 256GB of storage space. Its thickness measures 7.4mm, and it weighs 193g.
The display features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1900 nits brightness. The battery capacity is 4900mAh, allowing charging up to 69% in just 30 minutes. It also includes IP68-rated water and dust resistance.
The rear houses a triple camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The telephoto camera supports 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. A 12-megapixel camera is applied to the front.
Camera functions have also been enhanced. 'My Fan Cam' automatically tracks a selected person and edits video centered on that individual, making it useful in situations with significant movement such as concerts or sports events. It also supports 'Super Steady,' which maintains video levelness and reduces shake, and the low-light shooting feature 'Nightography.'
Using 'Photo Assist,' users can change photo backgrounds via natural language commands or apply images saved in the gallery to photos. The editing process is recorded, allowing users to revert to previous steps.
The latest Galaxy AI based on Android 17 and One UI 9 has also been applied. 'Now Brief' gathers and displays necessary information such as weather, health, and traffic, while 'Now Nudge' understands the user's situation and context to suggest next actions. 'Circle to Search' enables searching for multiple pieces of information at once, including products, locations, and objects within an image. Samsung Electronics provides up to seven generations of OS (operating system) upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The Galaxy S26 FE will be released in three colors: Blueberry, Rafahite, and Pistachio. Domestic self-purchase buyers can subscribe to the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.' The monthly subscription fee is 6,900 won for the first and second-year models and 8,900 won for the third-year model. When returning the device, a residual value of up to 50% is guaranteed depending on the subscription period.
Kim Jeong-hyun, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' MX Business Division, stated, "The Galaxy S26 FE is a product designed to allow more customers to experience and utilize the Galaxy S series in their daily lives."
