Returning Nespresso coffee capsules via mailboxes will earn you Korea Post shopping gift certificates.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and Korea Post announced on the 30th that they are holding an event where participants who verify the return of Nespresso capsules will be eligible to win Korea Post gift certificates through a lottery.
Coffee capsules placed in Nespresso recycling bags can be returned to regular mailboxes or eco-mailboxes. After verifying the attached QR code, approximately 1,000 people per round will be selected by lottery to receive 10,000 won Korea Post shopping gift certificates for the first round (August 31 to September 30) and the second round (October 12 to November 12).
Additionally, posting a verified photo of the capsule return on a personal Instagram account with tags will allow approximately 30 people per round to be selected by lottery to receive 20,000 won Korea Post shopping gift certificates.
Korea Post is expanding public services to collect not only coffee capsules but also unused medicines, PET bottles, aluminum cans, and composite containers. Approximately 1,100 eco-mailboxes, which can be used 24 hours a day regardless of Korea Post operating hours, will be added this year.
