NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD are holding consecutive AI (artificial intelligence) events in Seoul this November, demonstrating the rising status of the Korean market within the global AI industry. While NVIDIA and Intel plan to expand their event scale compared to last year, AMD is set to host its first representative AI event in Korea.
According to industry sources on the 31st, NVIDIA will hold 'NVIDIA AI Day Seoul 2026' at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 9th–10. The event, which drew about 1,300 attendees last year, will expand to over 2,000 participants this year—an increase of more than 50% in scale. The main conference and hands-on training for developers will focus on physical AI, with a significant increase in speakers and participating companies.
The expansion of the event reflects NVIDIA's growth in its Korean business. As domestic AI projects and corporate collaborations have increased, there are now more application cases to showcase and more technical updates for developers. In its recent earnings report, NVIDIA highlighted key achievements including the establishment of sovereign AI infrastructure with SK Telecom and Naver (NAVER), next-generation memory development with SK Hynix, and expanded AI applications with LG and Hyundai Motor Group. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, also visited Korea in June to discuss cooperation with executives of major domestic companies.
Intel will hold 'Intel AI Summit Seoul' at COEX on November 12 with an expected attendance of over 1,000 people. Last year, about 900 participants attended; this year, the plan is to expand by more than 15%. Following last year's event where a senior executive from the Asia-Pacific region participated as a speaker, global executives are also expected to attend this year. Intel's revenue from its data center and AI segment in the second quarter of this year increased by 59% compared to the same period last year.
AMD is also scheduled to hold 'Advancing AI Korea' in November. This marks the first time AMD will host its flagship Advancing AI event in Korea. The event will introduce AMD's AI infrastructure strategies—including AI accelerators, CPUs (central processing units), networking, and software—to customers, developers, and partners. The event was organized following an MOU (memorandum of understanding) signed between AMD and the Ministry of Science and ICT. While a visit by AMD's Senior Vice President to Korea is being pursued, the specific mode of participation in the event has not yet been finalized. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, also visited Korea this year to discuss AI cooperation plans with the government and domestic companies.
As investments in AI infrastructure expand and physical AI emerges as a new growth axis, competition among global AI companies aiming to secure domestic customers and developer ecosystems is expected to intensify. An industry official stated, "Korea is recognized as an ideal testbed for validating AI technologies and services due to its rapid adoption of new technologies," adding, "With strong foundations in core memory supply and manufacturing sectors such as automobiles, electronics, and shipbuilding, the conditions are favorable for applying physical AI on-site."
