Music critic Im Jin-mo expressed his longing for his son, who passed away at the age of 33.
Im appeared as a guest on the episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' broadcast on the 21st.
On the show, Im said he started wearing bow ties because of his son. He stated, "The day I wore a bow tie, my son said, 'It looks good. Dad, you should definitely wear bow ties from now on.' So I have kept wearing them ever since. Thanks to that, I catch colds less often and it also protects my neck." He added, "It feels like I am with my son."

When Yoo Jae-suk began to say, "In 2021, your son…," Im said, "It is okay," cleared his throat, and stated, "My son left me first."
He shared, "A few months before my son died, he became my manager." He continued, "From the morning, he picked bow ties that matched my clothes. Even though he was sick, he drove me himself. I learned a lot from my son."
He also shared an anecdote from when his son worked as an employee at an electronics store.
Im said, "When my son was working as a sales clerk at an electronics store, the store manager told me, 'Ever since your son came, he suddenly started looking for a ladder. Then he climbed up on it and wiped the top of the refrigerator. There really are people like that. He is amazing.'"
He added, "Seeing my son made me realize something. I realized that I must do every task given to me with diligence. That is why I still work hard now." He stated, "When I give a lecture, I think my son is listening."
Recalling a day in 2014, Im said, "One day, my son told me, 'My head hurts, so I am going to the hospital and will come back.' Because he had complained of being sick since he was young, I thought it was just a common migraine. He brought me the CT results, and there were two large brain tumors. That is when his battle with illness began." Treatment continued for seven years afterward, but ultimately, in the summer of 2021, his son passed away at the age of 33.
He said, "If I had known it would turn out this way, I wish we had gone to good places in our country and seen everything. It is a regret that he just stayed home." He became emotional, stating, "I was already dead when my son closed his eyes. I went with him entirely." He added, "How could anyone be normal when the son they gave birth to closes his eyes right before their eyes?"

Im said that when he goes to important places, he wears his son's socks, adding, "I wore them today as well."
He continued, "I do my best with the laundry so that I can wear them until my son is over 50 years old. I think of it this way: at least in this manner, I am together with my son," which evoked a sense of deep sadness.
