Actress Park Kyung-hye shared news that she is preparing to leave the home she had previously revealed through MBC’s “I Live Alone” and move elsewhere.
On Sunday, Park uploaded a video to her YouTube channel, “Kyung-hye Bolrae,” about leaving her first solo apartment and searching for a new nest.
Park said, “It has been almost a year since I moved into this home.” She added, “I decorated it piece by piece myself and have grown attached to it, but now is the time to leave. I am preparing to move in earnest.”
She mentioned a separated layout as a key condition for her new residence. Park stated, “I like cooking at home. Even when I order delivery food, I often reheat or prepare it multiple times,” expressing her hope that the apartment would have a separated structure rather than being a studio unit so that food odors would not permeate laundry or bedding.
She further expressed her desire for a location with a natural environment suitable for walks, away from the bustling Gangnam downtown area, as well as one equipped with an elevator and designated parking space.
She also said, “It would be good if there were no cockroaches.” Park noted, “My home has gnats and mosquitoes, but I can minimize those by managing windows and humidity well. However, I have heard too many stories about how you cannot get rid of cockroaches,” adding, “I just hope there are no cockroaches or mice.”
Subsequently, she personally visited apartments in the Chang Andong, Bukchon, and Sadang-dong areas to inspect them, but ultimately failed to sign a contract due to issues such as insufficient sunlight, lack of parking space, and the inability to join a jeonse deposit insurance.
On her way back after viewing all the properties, Park gazed at numerous villas and apartments and shared her bitterness, saying, “I find myself thinking, ‘Why is there no home for me?’”

Previously, in April, Park announced that she had started living alone for the first time and revealed a 6-pyeong studio apartment located in Yaksam-dong, Seoul Gangnam-gu, through MBC’s “I Live Alone.”
At the time, Park confessed, “The deposit was 50 million won, with monthly rent, management fees, and parking included totaling 590,000 won,” adding, “That was my budget. I found a place where I could live without being pressured by realistic financial burdens.”
