Com2uS announced on the 29th that it has released a video documenting the production process of 'Pandora,' a major character in its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Zeus: The God of Hubris.'
The video, published on the official YouTube channel, features an interview with actress Park Ji-hyun, who portrayed Pandora, along with footage of facial capture and voice recording sessions.
Pandora is a character who welcomes users at the start of their journey, guiding them through the world's secrets and major events. As the story unfolds, she confronts the truths surrounding herself and undergoes internal transformation.
Park Ji-hyun did not simply act as a promotional model but directly participated in the character's creation. Com2uS and developer Avert used facial capture to reflect Park Ji-hyun's subtle expressions and emotions into Pandora, while her voice acting further defined the character's personality and inner depth.
Park Ji-hyun stated, "When I first saw Pandora in the game, it felt like I was looking at myself, which was fascinating," adding, "The expressions and emotions I portrayed during filming were captured, making Pandora feel truly alive."
She continued, "Although Pandora has a bright atmosphere, we adjusted her tone and emotions so she wouldn't appear overly lively or shallow. I kept asking myself, 'What would Pandora be feeling in this situation?' while performing."
'Zeus: The God of Hubris' is set in a world where cracks have formed due to the absolute power and hubris of Zeus, the supreme god of Greek mythology. Leveraging Unreal Engine 5 graphics, cooperation and conflict between factions, and various growth systems, the game is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year.
