Cybersecurity specialist Genians announced on the 18th that it was selected as an outstanding IR company in the KOSDAQ market at the '2026 Korea IR Awards' held at the Korea Exchange in Seoul Yeouido.
The Korea IR Awards is an event that selects companies and IROs (IR officers) that have contributed to the common interests of companies, shareholders, and investors, as well as the development of the securities market, through proactive and efficient IR activities. It awards 10 outstanding companies each in the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets.
Genians was selected as an outstanding IR company for the second consecutive year following last year. It was recognized for strengthening trust with investors and raising corporate valuation by continuing transparent and proactive IR activities even amid expanding market volatility.
It set 'reliability, proactiveness, and professionalism' as key principles, placing the mitigation of information asymmetry at the core of its IR activities. Through reflecting investor feedback in IR activities, strengthening communication between management and investors, and holding customized briefings by investor type, it expanded touchpoints with the capital market.
Recently, Genians also prepared a new IR strategy to leap as a 'small-cap leader.' Moving away from general large-scale briefings targeting many investors, it shifted to a one-on-one meeting format where it directly visits active asset management firms, small-cap fund managers, and private banking (PB) branches.
The company has named this system 'D2I (Direct-to-Investor)' and is expanding its institutional investor base through in-depth communication tailored to the interests and needs of each investor.
It also reaffirmed its medium- to long-term growth strategy centered on next-generation core businesses such as AI and quantum security. Announcing a '2026 corporate valuation enhancement plan,' it is pursuing shareholder return policies aligned with global standards, including determining dividends first before setting the dividend record date.
The system for management to communicate directly with investors has also been strengthened. Lee Dong-beom (CEO) and key executives are directly participating in meetings with domestic and international institutional investors to explain business vision, core technologies, and global expansion strategies. The aim is to enhance trust from the capital market by sharing not only short-term performance but also medium- to long-term growth plans.
Genians explained that through these activities, it is solidifying its position as a representative cybersecurity company of the AI era while simultaneously broadening its base in the capital market. It was evaluated that even amid market volatility, foreign shareholding increased and there was an effect of defending corporate valuation.
Interest from securities firms has also expanded. According to the company, 21 reports on the company were published this year, the highest among peer security companies. The reports positively evaluated Genians's growth potential and profitability.
It is also taking steps to re-evaluate the overall value of the domestic security industry. To improve institutional investors' understanding of the sector, it is planning and hosting 'Joint Briefings for Cybersecurity Companies,' expanding touchpoints between domestic security companies and the capital market.
Lee Dong-beom Ji Ni-eon-seu (CEO) said, "Being selected as an outstanding company at the Korea IR Awards for two consecutive years is a meaningful result recognizing our efforts in transparent communication and proactive corporate valuation enhancement by the capital market." He added, "Going forward, we will accelerate global market expansion and technological innovation to raise corporate valuation and continue enhancing shareholder value as a small-cap leader that grows together with the capital market."
