Actress Kim Bin-woo (44, real name Kim Ji-young), who relocated to Bali with her family, shared an update on her recent life.
On the 23rd, Kim posted a two-minute video on social media, stating, "This is what my family has been doing during the two months since we came to Bali." She added the hashtags (#) 'not easy life abroad' and 'honest account of a two-month experience' at the end of her post.
Kim revealed, "It has been about two months since I moved to Bali with my family. Since the environment, including temperature and climate, changed, I tried hard to adapt. On social media, I only showed you good things like the sea and tourist spots, but in reality, I suffered from many illnesses over the past two months."
Kim said she had only brought medication for traveler's diarrhea, commonly known as 'Bali Belly,' which is frequently experienced in Bali, but revealed that she struggled with unexpected insect bites, hives, and four colds. She added, "Even my husband, who has never been sick before, developed a high fever."
Despite this, Kim said she plans to stay in Bali for another three to four years. She explained, "Many people seem curious about why I went to Bali, but it was truly a challenge. It was all about wanting my family to experience living through difficulties and wanting the children to have room to run around."
She then stated, "There are still many difficult and challenging aspects, and since this is an adaptation period, I will gradually introduce what is good and what is not," adding, "I will also introduce items that may be helpful for those considering moving to Bali or living there for a month, so please look forward to it."
Kim Bin-woo debuted through the SBS Supermodel Contest in 2001. She married an older businessman in 2015 and has one son and one daughter. In August, she shared news that she had moved to Bali with her family after a year of preparation.
