Influencer Hong Young-ki (34), who is active as a fashion and beauty entrepreneur, revealed past conflicts with her husband over clothing choices.
On the 27th, a video titled "How Influencer Hong Young-ki Became CEO of Kishining" was uploaded to Kang Ye-won's YouTube channel 'Gwang Ye-won'.
In the video, Kang Ye-won spoke with Hong Young-ki. Hong first gained recognition by appearing on Comedy TV's 'Eoljjang Season 1' in 2009. In 2012, at age 21, she married her husband Lee Se-yong, who is three years younger, due to a premarital pregnancy, and they now have two sons.
That day, Kang Ye-won commented on Hong's fashion: "Even though you're a mother, you show your confident side. Your fashion is so beautiful," but added, "I think it would make me jealous and annoyed if other men stared at my husband."
In response, Hong revealed that her husband used to be displeased with her clothing choices in the past. Known by the nickname 'Bagel Girl', Hong is famous for frequently wearing outfits that highlight her curvy figure.
Hong confessed, "At first, my husband really disliked it. Up until four or five years ago, he would say things about my clothes." She added, "He didn't like other men looking at me, and we even fought because of it. In fact, there was a time when he tore my clothes." This left Kang Ye-won shocked.
Rather than submitting to her husband's interference, Hong said she developed a rebellious attitude: "I got so angry that I wanted to dress even more revealingly. When freedom is suppressed, you want to run wild even more," which drew laughter from the audience.
Hong continued, "So I told my husband, 'You should only wear the clothes I tell you to.' But he wouldn't do that, would he? He has his own style. I thought it was putting the cart before the horse." She insisted, "I don't wear these clothes to look good for men; this is just my style."
She also revealed her two sons' contrasting reactions. Hong said, "My second son acts like my boyfriend whenever my cleavage shows a little. My first son says, 'Respect mom's right to freedom,' which made everyone laugh."
Meanwhile, Hong Young-ki held her wedding ceremony last September, ten years after registering their marriage.
