Broadcaster Lee Geum-hee (60) has lost her mother.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 18th, Lee Geum-hee's mother, Kang Soon-sik, recently passed away at the age of 93.
On the 14th, when her mother passed away, Lee Geum-hee was filming a special documentary for Hangul Day in Uzbekistan. Upon receiving the news of her mother's death locally, she is reported to have completed her scheduled filming according to her family's wishes, wrapped up her schedule, and rushed back to Korea to set up a wake.
It is also reported that the broadcast segment of KBS Cool FM's "A Good Day to Love with Lee Geum-hee" during the funeral period was pre-recorded in advance.
The wake has been established at Room Special 1, Funeral Hall, Seoul Eunpyeong-gu Cheonggyeung Sim Hospital. The viewing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 18th, and the procession will depart at 7 a.m. on the 19th. The burial site will be Hongchangsa via Seoul Municipal Seunghwa-won.
Lee Geum-hee joined KBS as the 16th public recruitment announcer in 1989 and hosted programs such as "Morning Market," "TV Carrying Love," and "Love Request." After switching to freelancer status in 2000, she has been active in broadcasting and radio.
