On the 7th, Adobe announced the launch of a unified plug-in for ChatGPT that integrates over 70 of its own tools, ranging from photo and video editing to design and PDF creation. The plug-in can be used in ChatGPT Work and Codex.
The new plug-in provides access to features from Adobe Express, Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, Acrobat, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Stock, and others within ChatGPT's conversational workspace.
Users can apply the same style to campaign photos or edit long videos for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. The plug-in also supports tasks such as modifying text and colors in design templates and converting spreadsheets or datasets into PDF documents like catalogs, event badges, and infographics.
For more advanced editing, users can transfer work started in ChatGPT to Adobe applications to continue. Created results can be saved to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Bjorn Chabra, Head of OpenAI's ChatGPT Ecosystem Products, said, "We are pleased to expand our partnership with Adobe and bring Adobe's creative and productivity features into ChatGPT."
Adobe has been expanding the support scope for its tools through major AI services such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot. It plans to introduce related services on Slack and Gemini in the future.
In ChatGPT Work, users can add Adobe from the plug-in menu and use it by typing '@Adobe' in a new conversation or pressing the '+' button. The plug-in can be used in guest mode without an Adobe account; logging in enables more detailed editing functions.
