'MEDICAL ASIA 2013' 시상식 5월 서울에서 개최
머니투데이, 중국신문망, 동아닷컴 한중언론사가 공동주최하는 "MEDICAL ASIA 2013, 6th KGMSA & ASIA MEDICAL SERVICE AWARDS" 5월 3일 시상식을 목표로2월 4일부터 참가신청 접수를 시작했다.
메디컬아시아 운영위원회(http://www.medicalinasia.com/)에서는 2월 4일부터 한국을 비롯한 아시아 각국별로 참가신청을 받아 전문가조사, 네티즌조사, 병원모니터링을 통해 부문별 대상을 가릴 예정이라고 밝혔다.
아시아 각국의 전문 의료서비스 발굴 육성하기 위한 이번 행사는 아시아 의료서비스 산업의 균형발전을 위한 국제적 협력, 아시아 의료기관들의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화, 의료서비스의 질 향상을 목적으로 한다.
시상부문은 아시아 각국의 각 질환별 종합병원 전문센터, 중소병원의 전문클리닉과 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 제약사와 의료장비업체, 글로벌 의학회 등이다.
전문가 조사를 통해 선별된 각 부문별 수상후보는 3월 중순 행사 홈페이지와 중국신문망에 게재되며, 최종 대상 선정은 5월 발표된다. 시상식 후에는 수상병원들의 의료서비스를 세계에 알리는 홍보마케팅이 진행된다.
그 외 수상병원들의 글로벌 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 국제의료경영 전문가들과 협력해 아시아 각국에서 환자를 유치하는 공식 지정에이전시를 위촉하는 행사도 치러진다.
메디컬아시아 운영위원회 강철용 위원장은 “우수한 의료서비스를 보유하고 있는 아시아 민영의료 기관들이 이번 행사를 통해 글로벌 경쟁력을 높일 수 있고 향후 대표 의료 브랜드로서의 역할도 자연스럽게 해나가게 될 것”이라고 말했다.
2008년 1회 행사를 치른 <대한민국 글로벌 의료서비스 대상>은 2012년까지 5회 동안 한국의 전문 의료서비스를 발굴해 수상 병원들이 글로벌 병원으로 성장하는 데 디딤돌을 놓았다. 이를 바탕으로 2013년부터는 "MEDICAL ASIA 2013, 6th KGMSA & ASIA MEDICAL SERVICE AWARDS"로 확대해 아시아 지역을 대상으로 치러지게 되었다.

Chinanews, MT, DongA.com and commenter from Korea and China will hold the "Medical Asia 2013, Asia Medical Service Award" ceremony on April 12th, 2013 in Seoul, Korea.
The Committee of Medical Asia(http://www.medicalinasia.com/)is suppose to receive application of hospitals, clinics, specialized institutions from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, India, Singapore and other Asian countries. The award selecting process consists of evaluation from professionals, survey focusing on netizens, on-spot monitoring.
This event will build a platform for medical institutions and aim to help them cooperate with each other, improve their competitiveness, and offer better medical service to customers. The award will be given to sectors include comprehensive hospitals regarding different disease, medium and small clinics, medicine companies with global competitiveness, companies selling medical facilities and global medical association and so on.
The nominated hospitals selected by medical professionals of different sectors will be post on homepage of Chinanews in February and final list will be open to the public in the middle April. After the ceremony, following global marketing publicizing of awarded hospitals will be conducted.
Additionally, in order to improve global competitiveness of awarded hospitals, we will appoint an official agency after the ceremony which helps to attract Asian customers and introduce customers to hospitals.
Mr. Kang Chulyong, head of Medical Asia committee said “Asia has a good foundation of medical service, this year the event aims to help those private hospitals and institutions improve their global competitiveness and publicize representative medical brand to the world.”
The event was firstly held in 2008 named "Korea Global Medical Service Award" and until 2012, the event was successfully held for 5 times. As a good steppingstone, in 2013, the award aims to attract hospitals in the whole Asia and the name was changed to "Medical Asia 2013, Asia Medical Service Awards" because of the expansion.
